The reader beeps but the door is kept closed, after the card has been read. (The controller fails to recognize the output from the reader.)
CAUSE |
1. The output cable connector inside the device is not properly connected.
2. The output wires may be broken or disconnected.
3. Defective device.

SOLUTION |
1. Connect the output cable connector inside the device.
2. If some output wire is broken or disconnected, repair it.
3. Replace the device.

When the reader is generating output signals.

CAUSE |
1. The data communication wire may be broken or disconnected.

SOLUTION |
1. If some output wire is broken or disconnected, repair it.

b. Data signals are received on the controller side.

CAUSE |
1. Different formats between the reader and the controller.
2. Wrong connection of data wires between the reader and the controller.

1. Use an identical data format between the reader and the controller.

CAUSE |
1. Noise is introduced into the data wires, causing distortion
__of the data and signals.

SOLUTION |
1. Connect unused data wires (if any) to the ground(GND).
2. Use a repeater.
